Organic
What is organic?
Organic means the cultivation method characterised by the exclusive use of organic fertilisers instead of synthetic chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Organic cultivation therefore uses processes that focus on respecting the natural cycle of life. Eating organic, therefore, means eating natural. Organic farming represents a production model that has been growing in recent years, it is environmentally sustainable because it maintains biodiversity, uses no chemical inputs and no GMOs throughout the supply chain, maintains and increases soil fertility and cares for animal welfare.
For years engaged in the organic sector
For the past 8 years we have been working with the passion and desire to offer people the best fruit and vegetables, growing them and choosing them only from production areas that ensure the best quality. That is why, from the preparation of the soil to the harvest, our technicians check that the products grown on our farms are not only healthy, safe and sustainable, but also meet precise quality parameters.
With due care, we monitor the growth phases of fruit and vegetables in the field, making sure they are only harvested when they are ready. Our agronomists then support the daily work of farmers in Italy and around the world with whom we have long-standing relationships of trust.
Every week we select a wide range of seasonal organic fruit and vegetables from the best certified organic farms
Choosing seasonal organic fruit and vegetables at the right time guarantees freshness, authenticity and savings.
Organic fruit and vegetables are part of a healthy diet that protects the environment.
How to recognise organic fruit?
There are certain parameters that must be met for a product to be considered organic:
it must be obtained in accordance with the rules of organic farming or be imported from third countries under the regime set out in EC Reg. 834/07 and EC Reg. 889/08
if the product has ingredients that are not derived from agricultural activities such as additives, flavourings, salt or others, the processing aids must be among those indicated in EC Reg. 889/08
the production cycle must be entirely GMO-free;
the ‘organic’ raw material cannot be mixed with the same ‘non-organic’ substance;
neither the finished product nor its ingredients may be treated with processing aids other than those permitted in the organic regulation. Treatments with ionising radiation are banned.
